About Us - Extended Biography

Billy and Mary both grew up on farms in the Midwest. Billy graduated from Kansas State University in 1966 with a degree in Agricultural Economics and became a "hippie" farmer on his family's farm in Montezuma, Kansas. Back then he was known for his rebelious ways, and vial mouth, but that all changed when he received Jesus as his Lord and Savior in December of 1968. From that moment on he knew that he was called to preach, and frequently traveled to the local bars to minister to the people there.

Mary received a degree in Education from Missouri University, Columbia in 1970. She was raised Catholic, but accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior and received the baptism of the Holy Spirit while in college. Mary's life was forever changed, and she obtained a joy that she never had before. After graduation, she taught high school math in Bowling Green, Missouri.

In 1974 God separately called them both to attend the charter class of RHEMA Bible Training Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where they met in September, had their first date in November, and were married in December - a quick work. Upon graduation they were ordained by Kenneth E. Hagin Evangelistic Association in May of 1975.

Since then, they have pastored three churches from the mid 1970's through the early 90's. While pastoring in Hammond, Indiana, Billy ministered on a daily radio broadcast "The Eye of Faith." God used him to start a fellowship of minister's, which became the Chicago Regional Faith Convention. He has also done missionary work in Haiti, the Philippines, Panama, England, and Romania. Mary was heavily involved with the church, and taught at the Christian academy that their ministry had established. Currently they are active members of the King's Community Church in South Holland, Illinois pastored by Pete Tassio. While at King's, they have been in the ministry of helps and were heavily involved with the youth ministry.

Being led by the Holy Spirit, they resigned their jobs in education in 2004 and have since been involved with Jim and Jan Hamilton's ministry in Ajijic, Mexico. Through their involvement in Mexico, the Lord has opened the door for them to go to the Oaxaco Indians. They have also recently traveled with Rev. Noah Bower to India where they witnessed wonderful moves of God - salvations, the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, and healings. Since returning from India, there have been many testimonies and invitations to go back to India as well as invitations from over a dozen other countries around the world.

Together they teach the Word of faith stressing the believer's authority and responsibility to walk in God's plans and purposes in life. Also, God has particularly used them to teach believers how to be filled with the Holy Spirit. In looking at their current and past ministry one can clearly see that they have a heart for the lost, Christian families, and the youth of the Church. They are excited and honored to be part of what God is doing all around the world in these last days.

Billy and Mary have been married for 31 years, and have four children: Alan, Greg, Timothy (wife Mary Jane), Rachel (husband Zane Bousum) and grandson Josiah Bousum.
